The Governing Council of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Kumasi (KNUST) has presented the University’s Act and Strategic Plan to the Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, at the Manhyia Palace.
The presentation, led by the Council Chair, Akyamfour Asafo Boakye Agyemang-Bonsu, also served to thank the Asantehene for gracing the University’s 59th Special Congregation.
The Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Rita Akosua Dickson, and the Pro Vice-Chancellor, Prof. David Asamoah, supported the presentation, outlining key elements of the Act and the Strategic Plan, which set out the institution’s governance structure and development priorities.
The Asantehene received the documents warmly and welcomed the delegation, reaffirming his longstanding relationship with the University.
Also present at the ceremony were the Dean of the International Programmes Office (IPO), Prof. Edmund Ekuadzi; Senior Assistant Registrar at IPO, Ms. Yvonne Baiden; Finance Officer, Dr. Charles Nsiah; and Senior Assistant Registrar at the Vice-Chancellor and Registrar’s Offices, Ms. Efua Arku.


Separately, Dr. Cindy Jebb, president of Ramapo College of New Jersey, presented a gift to the Asantehene during the visit.
